The 39th Gémeaux Awards Gala, brilliantly hosted by Pierre-Yves Lord, was colorful and rhythmic, and made us understand how good television we make in Quebec. During this television event, 16 trophies were awarded to talents who distinguished themselves in the past year. A more than festive evening that our local artists enjoyed attending.

Christian Bégin and his wife, actress Marie-Ève Perron, arrived together on a red carpet for the first time. “It was an open secret, but I think that, Christian as much as I, we needed to secure our relationship and build an intimate life before making our relationship public. If we had talked about it quickly, it would have been a bit like if I had introduced my boyfriend to my parents on the first day. We needed a little bubble,” explained the actress, who will continue to be seen in the series Indefensible and who is also currently working on a solo show entitled De la force de vivre, a project born during the pandemic. “I also have a podcast project with that: it will be a kind of toolbox for the bereaved. Otherwise, I also have a role in the new series Go to the living room (which will air this winter on TVA),” adds the actress. The actor and host adds: “We have been a couple for two and a half years now. We got married on August 13, 2023. We had a great summer which was, all in all, eventful in several ways. I just got back from Europe, where I filmed The Lara Effect (which will be broadcast on TVA in 2025). Otherwise, my wife and I work very hard at our grocery store. Marie-Ève is a fire administrator and manager! I owe her a lot.
