Like father, like son: Sean Ono Lennon and James McCartney create an acoustic duet together, “Primrose Hill”.

Here is a duo that is obvious: Lennon-McCartney. Two names that we readily slip into the ranks of legends, and which are seen combined again. And this, through the art of Sean Ono Lennon and James McCartney – sons of John and Paul – who signed together Primrose Hilla single composed by them.

“Today I am very excited to share my latest song co-written by my good friend Sean Ono Lennon. With [cette] release, I feel like we’re really opening up and I’m so excited to continue sharing music with you,” the second expressed on Instagram, accompanying his words with a photo where they pose side by side. Needless to say, the resemblance to their respective fathers is disconcerting.

A child’s vision

Just like their fathers a few decades earlier, James McCartney and Sean Ono Lennon do not skimp on the acoustic guitar, an instrument that resonates from the first seconds of Primrose Hill. The voice of the first then resounds, while fine layers come and go, joined by some percussion and drums.

This piece was born from a “vision” by James, “When [il était] child in Scotland, on a beautiful summer day”. “Letting go, I saw my true love and savior in my mind,” he writes on the same social network. Childhood which was, we bet, rich in art and music.
