Lady Gaga has revealed she is no longer pain-free after years of battling fibromyalgia.

The 38-year-old singer and actress will soon be starring in the film Joker: Folie à Deux, alongside Joaquin Phoenix.

While promoting the film, she spoke about her recovery from the body pain caused by the disease.

In a new interview with Vogue, she looks back on her 2022 Chromatica tour and reveals: “I did it painlessly. I changed.”

She explained that it was the first time she had performed without suffering from chronic pain. The star also noted that she had not “smoked weed” in years, a drug she previously used to manage her condition.

Although the singer did not fully explain the reasons for this dramatic improvement, she indicated that the Chromatica tour was the first tour she had undertaken with her fiancé, American entrepreneur Michael Polansky, 46.

She said: “Michael and I did this tour together,” before adding that she was “very excited to shape our life and our marriage around our creativity as a couple.”

Fibromyalgia affects millions of people worldwide and has no known cure, making Lady Gaga’s recovery particularly inspiring for those who suffer from it.

Medical advice to combat the disease currently includes exercise, talking therapies and medications commonly used to treat anxiety and depression.
