Pedocriminality – For the defense, the 13-year-old girl consented during the sexual intercourse
“She was a girl who looked older […]. Her entourage confirmed that she looked 16-17 years old.” This is one of the arguments put forward by the defense lawyer. His client is accused of having sexual relations with a 13-year-old girl, when he was 20. A minor, therefore, whether she was 13 or 16.
The facts date back to 2017, as reported The Midi Dispatch. One evening, some 20-year-olds were meeting in Nérac, a town in Lot-et-Garonne. They were then approached by a young girl, the victim. “My client talked to her for a while. One day, he asked her to come to his place to play on the console. One thing led to another, and they had an intimate relationship,” says Mr. Bert, the defense attorney. The suspect at the time was also in a relationship when he slept with the very young girl.
Shortly after this episode, a friend of the accused started a relationship with the victim. In 2018, this relationship was discovered by the girl’s father who went to the police station to report these actions. “During the hearings, she stated that she had been raped by my client and another boy in Nérac. The two men were interviewed in 2019,” explains Mr Bert.
