REVIEWS – Warner Bros France unveiled this Thursday the trailer for the film “Minecraft”, which is far from having been unanimous among fans of the cult video game, who criticize in particular the aesthetic bias of the producers
Fans of Minecraft were eagerly awaiting the first images of the film adaptation of the cult video game. The reveal this Thursday of the very first trailer for the film is however far from having convinced and seduced the gaming community, explains BFM Tech & Co. This preview of the feature film, whose French release is scheduled for April 2, 2025, has indeed sparked many comments from surprised, even disgruntled, Internet users.
“What the fuck! But why didn’t they make an animated film instead”, “What is this crap?” or even “I feel like this is going to be the WORST film in the history of video game adaptations into films”, were the reactions of YouTube users in comments on the 1 minute 30 trailer. On the X account of the Warner Bros France studio, where the images were also published, criticism also multiplied.
