The Huawei Watch D2 will soon be launched in Mauritius. This smartwatch is particularly suitable for health monitoring.
Huawei announced on Thursday November 14, 2024 that the Watch D2 will soon be available in Mauritius. This smartwatch is characterized by its health-related functions. In addition to all the sensors found on other smart watches, the Huawei Watch D2 also has an airbag blood pressure monitor integrated into the bracelet.
“As we have just marked World Diabetes Day on November 14, it is essential to recall the importance of prevention and management of diabetes, a disease which today affects approximately 20% of the Mauritian population, according to the latest National Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Survey 2021. The Huawei Watch D2, a smartwatch equipped with advanced health tracking features, can prove to be a valuable asset in this endeavor. More than a simple accessory, it offers ways to monitor key indicators such as blood pressure, heart rate, or the level of blood oxygenation. His goal? Helping everyone better understand and manage their daily health,” explains the local Huawei office in a press release.
The Huawei Watch D2 case measures 48 millimeters long, 38 millimeters wide and 13.3 millimeters thick. It weighs approximately 40 grams.
The AMOLED screen measures 1.82 inches. Its resolution is 480 x 408 pixels.
The case is made of aluminum alloy.
The smartwatch has an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a magnetometer, an optical heart rate sensor, an ECG sensor, a barometric sensor, a thermometer, an ambient light sensor, a differential pressure sensor and a Hall effect sensor.
Huawei announces a battery life of 6 days with moderate use. But autonomy drops to one day with intense use.
Huawei has not provided details on the availability and pricing of the Huawei Watch D2. It exists in two colors.
The smartwatch can be connected not only to Huawei brand smartphones but also to those running Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS operating systems (OS).
The Huawei Watch D2 has additional functions such as the ability to make and answer calls, and view messages and notifications.
