The second vaccination campaign against human papillomavirus (HPV) will take place until February 24. The operation, launched by the ARS BFC and the Academies of and Besançon, is intended for students of the 5th in the region.

The purpose of this initiative is to “increase the vaccination coverage of more than 32,000 students targeted in around 330 colleges in the region” underlines the ARS. The organization also adds that the objective is to have “an 80% vaccine coverage rate in girls and boys from 11 to 14 years old by 2030”.

This is a major issue for the Regional Health Agency when you know that 70 to 80% of men and women meet at least one papillomavirus during their lifetime.

Note that vaccination is free and open to all students of 5th having a parental authorization. Mobile teams can also offer to update the vaccination status of students for other current vaccines.
