In 2024, the “My prevention report” system will be generalized. Available free of charge, it allows general practitioners to follow all the essential appointments of their patients throughout their lives. But what are these key moments not to be missed?

A generalization after a few months of testing. The “My prevention report” system will be generalized in 2024 to the entire French territory. Free and already tested in Hauts-de-, it will allow general practitioners to monitor key stages of their patients’ health throughout their lives.

The principle of “My prevention report” is simple, and consists of four meetings of around thirty minutes, free and without advance payment, offered to all adults between 18 and 75 years old, in order to follow all the important moments of their health. The objective will be to assess the risks of complications, or to identify potential weaknesses.

According to recent figures from INSEE, the state of health perceived by men and women changes significantly with age. Up to the age of 29, 48% of women and 52% of men believe they are in very good health, which pushes them not to monitor it too much. But this figure drops between ages 30 and 49, where only 30% of men and women say they are in perfect health.

Four age groups eligible for the “My prevention check” health check were then identified as key moments in a patient’s life and submitted to the High Council of Public Health.

Between 18 and 25 years old

The medical appointment dedicated to this age group will be devoted to all health questions concerning the transition to active life and adulthood. It will notably focus on raising awareness of addiction problems, sexually transmitted infections and sexual health, as well as vigilance regarding sleep and mental well-being.

Between 45 and 50 years old

Patients in this age group will be subject to a consultation in order to monitor the first complications possibly observable cardiologically in women. It will also be a question of organizing the first screening messages (breast, colorectal cancers), and observing the potential appearance of chronic diseases, or complications linked to tobacco consumption.

Between 60 and 65 years old

The consultation of people aged between 60 and 65 is dedicated to optimizing the management of chronic illnesses and anticipating the risks linked to life changes (transition to retirement).

Between 70 and 75 years old

The last meeting in this interview loop will be devoted to monitoring risk factors for isolation and dependence, as well as anticipating age-related fragilities.
