The Clariane group reiterates its ambitions in terms of psychiatry, via its Inicéa establishments. Among the areas of development, ever more “personalized” psychiatry, research and innovation pursued on a European scale thanks to the sharing of good practices between establishments.
As a reminder, more than 13 million French people*, or 1 in 5 people, are affected by psychological disorders each year, depression being one of the most common, affecting 15 to 20% of the population. With the Covid-19 pandemic, these figures have only increased, and the public authorities have recognized the urgency of the situation by making mental health the Great National Cause of 2025. ” But despite this awareness, talking about mental health remains a challenge, and it is precisely this silence that prevents many people from getting the help they need » declared last October, the general director of Clariane France, Nicolas Mérigot. ” Today, he underlined during a press conference on January 21 in Paris, “ the group manages thirty-four clinics and twenty-two day hospitals. We are the third private operator in psychiatry.” And to explain that the group was interested in this activity “ because it mainly targets non-drug interventions (INM) such as medical care and rehabilitation (SMR) and medico-social“. The group’s ambition is to offer “ integrative medicine, that is to say both very personalized care pathways and projects” , with ” the guarantee of having a multidisciplinary project which is consistent with therapeutic objectives which can then be evaluated and re-evaluated“. He also mentioned the approach “ holistic » of the patient, with a wide therapeutic panel, including nutrition, adapted physical activities and even cognitive workshops. Patient access to technological innovations, for example therapies through exposure to virtual reality or repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, is proposed.
“In France, Clariane has acquired solid expertise in the pathologies of elderly people. Clariane’s ambition is to share these skills on a European scale, so that each establishment benefits from the best practices and knowledge, thus creating a mental health network of excellence. »
The medical management also works a lot on the patient experience, taking into account the consideration score in internal quality surveys and via the approach “ patient partner“. Among the areas of research that interest the group is the evaluation of non-pharmacological interventions (NMI). There is also a very productive partnership with the Non-Pharmacological International Society (NPIS), a European learned society which works to scientifically validate these INMs and to regulate their prescription.
-Inicea would like to further develop certain care modalities, in particular the personalized care pathway, an approach to care which takes into account the patient’s profile, their needs, their objectives and their life plan to enable them to get better in the long term by becoming actor in its health, but often comes up against the financing model. As a reminder, Inicea manages around twenty day hospitals, either integrated into an establishment or independent (ambulatory centers). The group has around ten of these autonomous centers “in operation”. He is currently “ in negotiations to open three more » in the Grand-Est, Occitanie and Île-de-France.
