In order to set up a sustainable system for archiving the dematerialization of the second reading of breast cancer screening, the FNMR chose the DRIM Box. It ratified this choice during its last Board of Directors meeting.
The National Federation of Radiologists (FNMR) adopted, on January 18, 2025 during its last Board of Directors, a motion relating to the specific use of the DRIM Box throughout the territory.
This motion concerns the dematerialization of the 2nd reading of organized breast cancer screening. We know that the data from the dematerialization of the second mammography reading (D2LM) which is part of the national breast cancer screening program must be processed in such a way as to allow better transmission and better archiving of data.
-The final objective of the “D2LM” is to digitize the entire mammographic chain between the 1st and 2nd reading, with experiments being carried out for more than 10 years on this theme. The FNMR wanted a national framework to be established by naming the DRIM Box as the main tool for digital data sharing, in order to enable this dematerialization to be implemented in a sustainable manner.
