6th Clinical Pharmacology Day in Monastir

Tunis – UNIVERSNEWS (Health) – High blood pressure (hypertension) is a chronic disease defined by excessively high blood pressure. It is one of the main risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Constantly increasing, it is today one of the leading causes of premature death in the world according to the WHO and is responsible for nearly 11 million deaths per year. One in four men and one in five women are affected by this disease. Thus, early detection of hypertension helps reduce the risk of complications and improve patient care.

This is why it is important to control it well. When should you take medication? How do the different families of antihypertensives work? What are their side effects? Thus, as part of continuing education, the Clinical Pharmacology Department of the EPS of Monastir and the Pharmacology Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine of Monastir, in partnership with the Tunisian Association of Chronobiology and Chronopharmacology of the Faculty of Medicine of Monastir, are organizing the 6th Monastir Clinical Pharmacology Day, entitled “The pharmacology of arterial hypertension”, on Friday January 31 2025 at the Rosa Beach Monastir hotel. On the program: recommendations concerning the management of arterial hypertension (hypertension) in 2024, new therapeutic targets in hypertension, the antihypertensive “One Pill”: a tailor-made therapy and the management of hypertension: Does chronopharmacology have a place?
