access to emergencies has been limited at night since Monday

Since the start of 2025, the emergencies at Nantes University Hospital have been under pressure due to the flu epidemic. As a reminder, the white plan was triggered on January 6, 2025 within the Nantes hospital.

Since Monday January 13until February 24, 2025, access to adult, pediatric and psychiatric emergencies between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.from Monday to Sunday, is modified. An entry, excluding vital emergencies, will now be done only on medical advice.

These terms and conditions also concern other establishments (public and private) in the department: the Confluent hospital in Rezé, the hospital center (CH) of Châteaubriant-Nozay, the CH of Saint-Nazaire and the CH Erdre et Loire in Ancenis.

Since January 13, the patient who has not been informed by a health professional, must call 15 where he will be put in touch with a regulating doctor. The latter will assess the patient’s condition to direct them towards the most appropriate treatment.

“Patients who present themselves independently and without medical advice to the emergency room will be able to use a telephone provided on site to call Center 15 and be put in touch with an emergency doctor,” indicates the Nantes University Hospital.

For patients referred by a doctor, dentist or midwife, they must present their supporting document and will be admitted to the emergency room. For patients who have been referred directly by Center 15, an email confirming the regulation will be sent to the emergency department concerned.

This regulation of the emergency department will be effective until February 24, 2025date chosen to cover the winter epidemic period.
