Having lived in Montadyn for many years, Vincent Deveze, retired since 2011, spends a large part of his free time reproducing, identically and in miniature, landscapes and events of everyday life. A passion which has taken an important place in family life, especially as he also devotes himself to several collections: stamps, old lighters from the wars of 14-18 and 39-45.
He installs his reproductions and decorations every year in the dining room during the holidays. An “exhibition” that takes up significant space on both sides of the room.
Thus, alongside numerous Lozerian and Provençal landscapes, we find mills, stables, stables, municipal school, church and houses including that of Chantal’s grandfather, his wife. Without forgetting new features created recently: the Montady tower, the brother-in-law’s dovecote, the “Bistrot de Marie” with its terrace, a war memorial and its two unique figurines, the travelers’ area… More than 210 figurines are installed over the entire surface of this reconstruction which is illuminated and moving, with numerous characters and animals from nature.
Vincent Deveze devoted thousands of hours to creating this beautiful miniature decor.
