“Our ambition is to improve the practice of sport in the city, by strengthening sports infrastructure.” This was the announcement made by the mayor of Thilogne, Mamadou Elimane Kane during the final of the Mayor’s Cup which took place this past Thursday, opposing Asc Gollera to that of Molle which ended with the victory of Soft by penalties. Indeed, since he took the reins of the municipality, he has made a lot of efforts in favor of youth and sport. In this respect, we can cite the rehabilitation of the Elimane Kane municipal stadium which has completely changed its face. The city councilor also informed that “a second stand will be built thanks to funding from the support program for municipalities and agglomerations of Senegal (Pacasen) to the tune of 93 million CFA francs”. The stadium electrification project is also underway with Agetip. Indeed, the sports infrastructure will be equipped with projectors.
Furthermore, the local executive announced that the commune of Thilogne plans to implement a multifunctional field to allow other disciplines such as basketball, volleyball, handball to emerge within the community. the constituency. “We recently acquired a plot of land of 1,170 square meters thanks to a Diawambe association to build a multi-functional plot of land in the city,” he said. With decentralized cooperation, the town hall of Mantes-La-Jolie will finance up to 50 million CFA francs and the municipality will participate with 10% of the financing amount, according to him.
On the sidelines of the celebration of the hundred years of elementary school 1 in Thilogne, Mamadou Elimane Kane announced that a basketball court as well as a digital library will be built in this school.
