Faced with winter epidemics, the white plan was put in place at the Pierre Oudot Hospital Center in Bourgoin-Jallieu. The mask is obligatory inside the establishment.
The flu epidemic hits earlier and harder than expected at the start of 2025. Result: emergency services are saturated and the white plan has been triggered in 87 hospitals across the country. This is particularly the case of the Pierre Oudot Hospital Center in Bourgoin-Jallieu (Isère).
“Due to saturation of its emergency rooms and hospitalization capacities, Thursday January 8, 85 people were waiting in the emergency room with more than ten hours waiting before treatment.“, indicates the hospital center in a press release published on January 10. It also specifies that the epidemic peak has not yet passed and is expected.”within two weeks“.

-The white plan allows the implementation of exceptional measures such as the deprogramming of certain operations or the recall of staff members on leave.
Instructions to follow
Faced with saturation, the hospital center reminds “not to go to the emergency room except for life-threatening emergencies” and wanted to remind you of some instructions to follow. Except for a life-threatening emergency, it is recommended to contact your attending physician or an on-call ambulatory care system. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, the hospital center reminds you to call 15 before going to the emergency room, in order to be best oriented according to their symptoms.
Inside the establishment, masks are once again compulsory for everyone, patients and visitors alike.
