Health Insurance has enriched its tool dedicated to the demography of health professionals with geographical data and figures concerning fees. Although audiologists are unfortunately not yet included in this data, the platform nevertheless contains useful information for their practice.

Data concerning the number of independent doctors and health professionals, by region and by department, the fees charged and the types of coded procedures are now directly accessible via the Data Ameli platform. It provides interesting benchmarks for all practitioners who wish to understand in what context of medical desertification (or not), competition or collaboration (how many speech therapists, in Isère?*), they operate.

With regard to ENTs, for example, you have access to the total and average fee amounts per professional, with or without excess. This specialty is 7th in the order of average fees per doctor in 2023 with €336,467; including 73.4% acts and 25.1% excesses. The average active queue of an ENT included 2,361 patients, seen at least once in the year 2023. And all this data is accessible by department. For example, you can compare the active queue of ENTs in your area – therefore the potential waiting time for patients to have an appointment – with that of neighboring areas… To guide new hearing impaired people, if necessary.
