The Château-Gontier Lions Club, the Haut-Anjou Hospital Center, the Motte Vauvert Health Center and LIDER Diabetes are organizing diabetes awareness, Friday, November 29, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., in the shopping mall du Leclerc.
The opportunity to meet health professionals to learn more about diabetes. On the program: prevention stands, interview with a nurse, blood sugar test and medical presence.
Detect disease early
Founded in 2011, the Lider diabetes association, “Lions international diabetes screening and research”, has set itself the mission of raising awareness of the risks of diabetes and fighting against this disease by screening for it throughout France. Since 2015, a National Diabetes Screening Day has been organized by the Lions Clubs of France.
The goal of this campaign is to be able to give as many adult women and men of all ages as possible a chance to detect the disease early in order, if necessary, to quickly take the necessary measures and thus live with it. more easily and for as long as possible.
