Since Wednesday November 13, 2024, the town of Buzançais has undertaken work to change the drinking water network between Habilly and Bonneau. This work carried out by the Vernat company consists of changing this drinking water pipe which had become leaky over time.
In fact, the municipal water service intervened very frequently to plug and repair leaks in this sector. This cast iron pipe replacement work is taking place over a distance of 1,100 meters for the first section between Habilly and the Bonneau exit, and will continue until the Christmas holidays, if the weather is good.
A diversion put in place
Then, work will resume in January, with rue du Château and rue des Coteau in Bonneau. This work also involves changing the connections for each property. During the duration of this work, this axis which deserts Habilly, Bonneau, but also La Chapelle-Orthemale and Neuillay-les-Bois, is cut off to traffic.
A diversion has been set up via the Vendoeuvres road and return to Bonneau via the recycling center, or via La Touche and Rue des Marchis. In the evening and morning before the Vernat company takes office, as well as on weekends, this axis will be open to traffic. A diversion has also been set up by the Department via Vendoeuvres to reach La Chapelle-Orthemale or Neuillay-les-Bois. The cost of this change of drinking water pipe is €940,789. The municipality benefits from a subsidy of €27,714 from the Loire-Bretagne Water Agency. Concerning school collection, parents have been informed of the changes and household waste collection has not seen any change.
