The specialized hospital establishment (EHS) for the fight against cancer in Blida has launched an awareness campaign for prostate cancer screening, under the title of “Blue November” dedicated to raising awareness of this type of cancer, he said. -we learned from this establishment.

Launched under the slogan “Prevention increases the chances of cure”, the campaign aims to “raise awareness among as many men as possible of the importance of early detection of prostate cancer, ranked at the top of the list of radiotherapy treatments administered to men in this hospital establishment welcoming cancer patients from 39 wilayas of the country,” indicated the director of the hospital, Hadjar Takouti.

For this campaign, a marquee was set up over the last two days at the EHS to fight cancer. It benefited all the employees and male workers of the establishment who benefited from screening analyzes for this disease, before its expansion, since Tuesday, to all employees of the Frantz Fanon University Hospital, and even those accompanying patients who will benefit, throughout this month, free medical examinations for the detection of this cancer.

This initiative, the first of its kind at the level of the EHS to fight against cancer in Blida, also provides for the organization, from November 17 to 27, of awareness and screening days for prostate cancer in place of the November 1, ex-place Ettoute, city center.

Initiated in coordination with the El Fedjr association for helping cancer patients and the local health and population directorate, the campaign “will allow citizens to benefit from free analyzes for the detection of this disease, while making them aware of the ways to prevent it,” said the organizers.
