More than 61,000 women in France were affected by breast cancer in 2023. When detected early, it is a cancer with a high survival rate (around 87% at 5 years), in particular thanks to advances in medical research and innovation in recent decades. However, there remain poor prognosis situations for which progress is expected in order to better identify the origin of each cancer and thus offer the most personalized care possible to patients.

Support the Institut Curie to achieve the “20,000 pouches for the Institut Curie” objective!

Building on a great success in 2023 and a challenge largely surpassed, the Institut Curie is putting the spotlight back on the creation and making of pouches as part of its Pink October 2024 mobilization. Makeup pouch, travel pouch, pocket with sweet words… this useful, comforting object, often autographed and brings hope, is particularly appreciated by patients treated at the Institut Curie. These pouches can be made from all possible materials, although preference is given to materials of natural and recycled origin.

All the bags received will be offered to patients of the Institut Curie during the month of October 2024. General public, associations, businesses, local authorities… everyone is invited to contribute to the solidarity challenge of the Institut Curie, by sending their creations until September 25, 2024 has :
