With his band of mustachioed friends, super “Mo Bros” took out his combat Mituzani (1) to go back to the front. Or rather on the chin, since it really involves eliminating the roots of all hairs.
In the name of Movember, the movement to fight against male diseases, the barber Laurent Briard once again establishes the reign of the beautiful bacchantes in Cannes.
An ostensible sign of rallying to the (good) cause. But also the opportunity to shed the lumberjack or ZZ-Top style to adopt a lighter look like Errol Flynn in Robin Hood.
The main thing, through various fun events organized throughout the month, is to collect donations for the Foundation.
Sunday from 8 p.m. to 3 p.m., Laurent took a leather chair out of his barber shop for a free Mustache operation on the Forville market.
Each new mustachioed man gave what he wanted for Movember, while the singers of the Choirs of the South also gave their voice.
Without completely “defrauding” the customer, the maneuver brought 1,300 euros more into the kitty.
Collect donations, while getting hairy
The objective is to reach at least the 24,134th raised last year, and above all to beat the record of 32,078th in 2022, which allowed the Cannes team to rank first nationally in the Movember mobilization .
Always with humor when discussing something serious, such as prostate or testicular cancer, because “men often have difficulty talking about illness. For anything that concerns their virility, it’s even more complicated”confides Laurent Briard, who himself sacrificed his Barbapapa on the altar of the triumphant mustache.
