Diabetes is not inevitable, it deserves to be screened for
. This is the message that the members of Big Up Santé, the Union of health professionals in Gâtine, wish to convey.
They are organizing a diabetes screening and prevention day, Thursday November 14, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the shopping arcade of the Leclerc supermarket in Parthenay.
During this day, health professionals will screen store customers by measuring their blood sugar levels. Volunteers from the Deux-Sèvres diabetics association will also provide information on diabetes: What is it, the consequences, the treatments, how to live with it…
The population of the Gâtine territory is particularly affected by diabetes. It is therefore essential for Big Up Santé to provide information and be able to screen the population as early as possible.
continues the association.
