Since the start of the school year, the vaccination center at the Calais Hospital Center has carried out a vaccination campaign against HPV in the Calaisis, Boulonnais and Montreuillois colleges (in September-October for the first dose and April-May -June for the second dose).

A thousand 5th grade students received the first dose.

Hauts-de-France is the second region most vaccinated against papillomavirus (65% for girls and 49% for boys in 2023).

In Pas-de-Calais, 66.7% of girls were vaccinated in 2023 compared to 65% in 2022 and 56.9% of boys in 2023 compared to 53% in 2022.

For Dr Mohamed El Mouden, head of the vaccination center at Calais hospital, prevention and information are essential to avoid developing cancer.

The vaccination center at the Calais hospital center has five people, a doctor, a nurse, a nurse coordinator, a healthcare executive and a secretary.
