Businesses are also mobilizing

If associations are mobilizing in numbers for Pink October, businesses are not left out. Like Yanmar, the city’s largest private employer, which mobilized its staff on Monday October 14. In the presence of Doctor Marie-Christine Scandola (from the Regional Cancer Screening Coordination Center – CRCDC), the Cancer Screening Association (Adeca 52) held an information stand for employees, who were able to respond to a quiz on the disease and its detection. Awareness made even more concrete, with the testimony of an employee who is in complete remission from breast cancer, thanks to early detection.

To raise funds, employees were invited to take part in a penalty shootout challenge. In total, 70 people participated and raised 470.50 euros. Yanmar, which organized this event for the first time, will renew this challenge in November, as part of Blue November, the month of awareness of male cancer screening.

  • The penalty shootout challenge raised more than 470 euros.
  • An information stand was set up in front of the company entrance.
  • In total, 70 people participated in the mobilization for Pink October.
