Volunteers sought as part of a study on Alzheimer’s disease – DR
This study is being carried out by the Institute of Aging of the Hospices Civils de Lyon and the Informatics and Information Systems Laboratory.
Healthy volunteers, women and men, aged 20 to 85, without a diagnosed cognitive disorder or severe or decompensated psychiatric pathology, are currently being sought as part of a study on spatial navigation abilities. that is to say orientation in space. “The objective is to know if age, Alzheimer’s disease and risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease can influence spatial orientation strategies“, indicate the HCL.
Volunteers will be received at the Charpennes hospital in Villeurbanne. They “will be asked to play a video game where they will play the role of the captain of a boat who must move around a setting, following the instructions on a card“, explain the Hospices Civils de Lyon who speak of a single 1-hour visit for the participants. They will also take cognition tests and answer questions about their lifestyle habits. A blood test will also be taken.
