“Why is it still so important to spread information about hand hygiene?”

$1 invested in improving hand hygiene yields approximately $24.6 in economic benefits

“Hand hygiene saves millions of lives every year when practiced at the right time in healthcare while across the 34 OECD and EU/EEA countries, investing $1 in improving hand hygiene in healthcare settings yields around $24.6 in economical consequences (i.e. both in expenses and in productivity gains in the broader economy).”

Hand hygiene helps prevent and control infections

“Why wash your hands?

When you have a viral infection, you can easily transmit viruses by touching another person or putting them on surfaces (sinks, worktops, door handles, etc.) or objects (toothbrush, cutlery, etc.).

We can therefore catch viruses when we come into contact with sick people or when we touch contaminated objects and surfaces and then put our hands to our face (mouth, eyes and nose).”

The CFE-CGC has continued to alert management about its real estate policy and the transition of the various sites into dynamic work spaces.

The concept of shared offices go against this principle of hygieneby increasing the risks of spreading viruses or bacteria, resulting in:

  • the increase in work stoppages
  • postponement of activities to remaining staff
  • work overload
  • increased Psycho-Social risks
  • the drop in group productivity
