The very heavy rains which fell on Brisbane and its region this Friday forced the organizers of the first tournament of the 2024-25 DP World Tour season to cancel the 2nd round of the BMW Australian PGA Championship. The tournament, now reduced to 54 holes, will resume from 6:00 a.m. Saturday (9:00 p.m. this Friday in France). Victor Perez occupies tied 2nd place, one length behind Australian Elvis Smylie, after posting a card of 66 (-5).
It was clearly impossible to play Golf this Friday on the Royal Queensland Golf Club from Brisbane! The heavy rains which fell in fact flooded a good part of the Australian route, forcing the organizers of the first tournament of the 2024-25 season (co-sanctioned with the PGA Tour of Australasia) to abandon any idea of play in this second round.
