Bad weather conditions in the Tarragona region of Spain where the final stage of the European Maps marathon is taking place have forced organizers to change their plans.

Late Tuesday, Spanish authorities informed the DP World Tour that it was appropriate not to schedule any games for Wednesday. The terrible card marathon over 6 rounds will therefore not find its epilogue at the end of the 6th day but on Thursday evening.

In fact, the cumulative rainfall expected on Wednesday should reach 150 mm and the organizers explained to the players who were unable to complete their 5th round on Tuesday, and which included Clement Sordet (5th at -18 with 3 holes to play), that they would be summoned Thursday at 8:30 a.m. local.
The 6th round will not start until 9 a.m.

The French still in the race

After 5 rounds (or almost), 3 French players are in a position to win a playing right for the 2025 season of the DP World Tour. Lyonnais Sordet is the best ranked at -18 total with still 21 holes to negotiate.

Very Bastien placed himself perfectly thanks to an excellent card of 64. The former player of the Lobos of the University of New Mexico progressed by 28 places and is in 10th place.

Robin Sciot Siegrist fell slightly with his 2nd worst card of the week (70) but remains in the top 20 and therefore in a position to be among the lucky ones elected on Thursday.

Felix Mory also made a nice comeback by signing a good 68, synonymous with provisional 33rd place. While Sébastien Gros et Nathan Legendre will have to perform a very good last lap to hope to escape from the 2nd half of the ranking.
