Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship: Saddier and Langasque off to a good start

The final sprint is on! This week, on the occasion of Abu Dhabi HSBC Championshipthen in eight days at DP World Tour Championshipthe European circuit concludes its 2024 season in style with these two richly endowed tournaments ($9 and $10 million respectively) and labeled Play-Offs for the occasion. If the event which began this Thursday at Yas Links has seventy engaged, the next in Jumeirah Estates is only open to fifty, and you will therefore have to fight to keep your place in this top 50, or improve it to get one of the ten spots for the PGA Tour in 2025.

Scenarios which concern the two best ranked Blues at the end of the first round: Adrien Saddier et Romain Langasque. The first, 69th and penultimate player to enter the field this week, is currently 75th in the Race to Dubai (the absences of six higher ranked players allow him to participate in the tournament), and must score big points to qualify for the circuit final. The second, already assured of going to Dubai, is aiming for a place among the first ten non-exempt players from R2D, who will play next year on the American circuit. Both are in 18th place this Thursday evening after a successful first round of 67 (-5), with identical recipes of six birdies for one bogey.
