The golfers of the Montauban l'Estang club have just finished the season of the “Senior Occitan 2024” circuit, a tournament which has become a real institution on the scale of the former Midi-Pyrénées region. Created more than twenty-five years ago, this competition is run by volunteers who are passionate about Golf. Recently, one of the members of the office, Gérard Pommereau, brought the circuit's website back to life to optimize its readability, with the publication of daily and weekly rankings which highlight the teams and the awards ceremony.
The 21 stages of the circuit were thus carried out in Auch, Castres, in the Pays d'Albret, in Aiguelèze, Saint-Gabriel, Eauze, Espalais, Luchon, in Bigorre, in Comminges but also in Casteljaloux, Lannemezan, Pau-Artiguelouve , Villeneuve-sur-Lot, L’Isle-Jourdain, Montal, Lamothe-d’Allot, Tarbes, Rodez and in the Tarn. With more than 2,800 departures, the “Senior Occitan” circuit regains strength and vigor in 2024.
The Montauban-L'Estang golf team thus honored its colors by rising to third place in the general team ranking. Players also stood out individually: Lucien Zawislak (2nd) and Christian Mirc (3rd). Pierre Terme, Robert Hidoux, Gérard Vergne, Daniel Bergamo and Christine Bach complete the ranking.
The awards ceremony has just taken place at the Fiac golf course, in Tarn. A successful evening in every way.
