Author of a great season, Alexander Levy will return to the DP World Tour in a few weeks. The five-time winner on this same circuit does not hide that the descent was difficult but he is proud to have managed to get back up the slope.

It didn't take long to Alexander Levy to bounce back. Came down last year on the Challenge Tour after twelve years on the main circuit, the Frenchman regained his place for the 2024-25 season of the DP World Tour. Six top 10s punctuated his season including two second places at theAbu Dhabi Challenge and at Vierumäki Finnish Challenge.

« It's a great season, there have been a lot of good thingsconfirms the 34-year-old player. It's getting towards the end of the season, I'm starting to get old. The objective of the season has been achieved, so that's the most important thing, that's what I wanted. We will have to rest, clarify our ideas, work well and start again for next year because there are great things to do. »

It's been hard, I won't hide it

Going down a rung is never easy. Some try to change everything, to question their functioning and many are unable to return to the highest level. Alexander Levy did not overhaul everything, he relied on those around him.

« This kind of mishap is part of a career, you don't necessarily have to try to understand the why and the how, explains the Varois. A career is full of ups and downs. You just have to do the same things every day. Maybe at one point I wanted to do too well, that was a problem. I managed to get back on track and that makes me proud of myself. It's been hard, I'm not going to hide it. I experienced the trick for 12 years of going back down to the lower level, it's never easy. I managed to put in the ingredients to come back together. I am very well surrounded by my staff, I have four good people around me, and my family has been there too. It's important to be well surrounded, and it's the work of everyone together that also allowed me to come back. »

Ready to perform again

Will we see the great supporter of Olympique de win a sixth title on the DP World Tour ? Time will tell. In any case, he performed rather well during the eight European elite tournaments that he played, including a top 10 at theAustralian Open.

« I feel like I have the ability, otherwise I would have stopped there. What I accomplished during my career would have been enough for me. But I know I still have more to do. I want to see where I can go with all the experience I have gained, especially with what happened to me in the last two years. »
