How did you end up in this role of vocal coach?
Marina D’Amico : “I have given singing lessons for ten years and I met Bruno Berbères, the casting director of the show, who followed me in my journey. He came several times to Forbach, make masterclass with the students of the singing school. It was he who called on me this year. I could not refuse ”.
What is this role of vocal coach?
“We are four vocal coaches to work each with one of the four stars coaches. We are going to coach the children of the team but also upstream, from the pre-casings to the hearings set, with the tone-on-tone, help them heat their voice, re-order certain things. Afterwards, when the teams are formed with the stars coaches, we will follow their management and apply the advice so that the services resemble them ”.

Have the filming has already taken place?
“The first part of the filming was made this week. The second part will take place in May for broadcast during the summer. In total, sixty candidates were selected for 5,000 children who applied. It’s beautiful to see children’s reactions. It’s great for them to be in an adventure like this. They come out proud of the plateau and their performance ”.
Has you have passed through The Voice helps you to put yourself in their place?
“This is an asset but it is also the case for other coaches. The fact of having walked the scene of The Voice. I tell them that the moment of blind auditions is the most beautiful moment of their adventure, which they must enjoy. It is the only place with complete silence during their performance. It almost never happens in a career. You have to savor them ”.

“Unfortunately not. The two programs are shot at different times to facilitate filming. I will be more led to work with coaches like Soprano, Santa, Patrick Fiori or Matt Pokora than Patricia Kaas ”.
