Nuntil opens with a shot of a woman who is ordered to keep quiet: Franco-American Niki de Saint Phalle (Charlotte Le Bon), newlywed in 1950s Paris, earns a little money posing for fashion photos… but no one is interested in what the lovely doll with the pearl-encircled neck has to say. Over the ten years that this beautiful story of learning tells, Niki will shed this mute creature like an ancient skin to transform into a first-rate artist, of unusual radicalism and ferocity.
