Great violence
As reported by La Dépêche, the accident occurred on the RD112in the commune of Teyssode. And it was violent: the Tarn departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis 81) speaks of “very strong kinetics”. The driver of a Peugeot would have, for reasons which will be determined, shifted to the left lane. She collided head-on with a Mercedes coming in the other direction.
Three dead and two seriously injured
Our colleagues spoke of the very heavy toll: there are three dead and two seriously injured. The driver of the Peugeot, aged 57, diedjust like two septuagenarians, passengers in the second vehicle. Inside it were two other people: the driver and a third passenger, both seriously injured and respectively evacuated to the hospital of Toulouse and Castres.
Firefighters, police, mayor…
Firefighters and police went to the scene of the tragedy, as did the mayor of the neighboring town of Saint-Paul-Cap-de-Joux, Laurent Vandendriessche.
