On Monday, September 2, 2024, the start of the school year took place without any surprises at the Phare de Lilia school. The 57 students (60 in 2023) are divided into three classes. No changes are to be reported within the team of Sylviane Le Pors, director.

The surprise came in June, when the school obtained certification from the OFB (French Office for Biodiversity) for its educational marine area project, located on Saint-Cava beach, very close to the establishment.

“E3D” labeling targeted

This year, the school is aiming for the “E3D” label (school or establishment with a global sustainable development approach) and will organize a nature clean-up action at the end of September, while continuing to sort waste, restart the vegetable garden and plant plants.

The “School Outside” project will continue, with one morning per week of activities on the educational marine area for CE2-CM and half a day per week for CP-CE1. As for the nursery school pupils, they will spend two days in a visual arts class in Plogastel-Saint-Germain, in South Finistère.
