Lannion FC picked up a point from their draw in their trip to Fougères, this Saturday, August 31, 2024.

N3. Fougères – Lannion: 1-1

Two draws snatched in the last minutes for Lannion FC. After Plabennec (1-1), Antoine Guiziou’s partners went to scratch the draw at Fougères on the last corner! A recovery from Kerger (90′ +3) came to reward a second period of archi-domination. Because Lannion worked hard not to lose. ené from the 19th second, because of Touré (1-0, 1′), Nicolas Laspalles’ group came close to a correction. Still found in depth, Touré did not frame his chipped ball (22′). Then Beautrais saw his attempted lob stopped by Davaï (27′), attentive on the placed header of Sabihi (28′). He was again the savior on a strong cross from the same Sabihi (37′).

“We believed in it until the end”

“And yet, we insist on concentration,” the coach fumed. “We are fortunate and lucky not to concede second. We had the upper hand in the second half.” In the first half, it’s true, Le Bonniec lacked support. And this, even if, just before the break, he hit the post (45′), before repeating the feat, with his superb overhead kick (58′)! The Lannionnais were literally camped in the Fougerais camp. Vidot saw his try slammed away by Roux (79′). And Kerger finally got the equalizer (1-1, 90′ +3).

“We believed in it until the end, like last week. It’s good. But we really have to erase these concentration errors. At this level, we have to perform well in this area,” said Laspalles. Benjamin Touchard, his counterpart, regretted “not having been able to protect himself.”
