On the sidelines of the match between Ecuador and Paraguay this Thursday evening for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Argentinian coach of Paraguay Gustavo Alfaro could not contain his emotion at the idea of facing his former team, which he managed between 2020 and 2023. Returning to Quito for the first time since the end of his mandate at the head of “The Three”the 62-year-old technician shed a few tears when thanking his former players and supporters.
