New episode in the violence which has been agitating the city of Grenoble for several months. This Thursday, October 10, 2024, shortly before 10:30 a.m., an armored van transporting funds was attacked, around 10:30 a.m., in the city center. The Dauphiné Libéré evokes a Kalashnikov attack.
According to the Dauphiné Libéré, the perpetrators acted in two vehicles: an unmarked white van supposed to block the progress of the armored van and a Mercedes which ended up in the middle of the tram tracks. The unmarked white van was set on fire by the perpetrators before they fled.
The criminals acted with Kalashnikov-type assault rifles but no firearm-related injuries were reported.
