A head-on collision between a heavy goods vehicle and a van took place this Wednesday morning around 10:20 a.m. on the RN 21 in Campsegret, near Bergerac. Four victims are to be deplored: two died, one was seriously injured and another was more lightly injured.

The accident took place on the RN 21, on the Auvergnat road at the northern exit of Campsegret, near the Touron farm. A head-on collision between a heavy goods vehicle and a van with two people on board.
The two occupants of the van, the driver and his passenger, were killed in the collision. The driver of the heavy goods vehicle, a man in his twenties, was seriously injured and was evacuated to the Bergerac hospital center.
Traffic was interrupted by the Bergerac gendarmerie in both directions on this axis which links Périgueux to Bergerac. The operation will possibly take a long time, indicate the firefighters.
