HEARING REPORT – This Wednesday, October 8, Jérôme B. and Cyril F. testified at the Mazan rape trial. For the defense lawyers, they both could have also found themselves in the dock, if fate had decided otherwise.
A day, “Jéjé84 » went to Coco.fr, a hub for crimes of all kinds. He comes across Dominique Pelicot who asks him if he is looking for work. “He offered to do some gardening work and, in exchange, to offer me his wife”he explains this Wednesday, October 8 before the Vaucluse criminal court, where he testifies as a witness. Jérôme B., alias “Jejé84”refused the former electrician’s proposal. He never went to the Pelicots. Flash of lucidity? “I am a fantasist”he assures. A defense lawyer questions him: “you mean that no matter what you would have been offered, you would not have gone?”. The answer is clear: «oui».
Jérôme B. concedes today that, at the time, he found this proposition “a bit shocking”. Disregarding his intuition, he nevertheless, at the request of Dominique Pelicot, sent a photo of himself in his underwear.
