A single-engine plane crashed into the wall of a Vendée home, in the town of La Bretonnière-La Claye, about ten kilometers from Luçon. Firefighters arrived on scene around 8:30 a.m. “When help arrived, the plane was completely destroyed”indicates the Vendée departmental fire and rescue service.
30 firefighters were dispatched to the scene. The operation is still in progress and the action is divided into two sectors: “a fire zone for extinguishing debris” and one “personal rescue zone for recognition and search of victims”. The owner of the house and the neighborhood are particularly supported. A mine clearance team from Nantes is on its way to deal with the pyrotechnic elements of the burned device. The mayor is also there. According to France 3 Pays de la Loire, two people lost their lives in this terrible accident.
