For this 19th season, Pékin Express brings together cult duos in the extraordinary landscapes of India. This Saturday, October 5, 2024, the candidates crossed the desert and had to answer a quiz… So, which pair leaves the adventure at the gates of the semi-final?

Four pairs are on the verge of the final in the show this Saturday, October 5. For this fourth step, candidates must cross the Thar desert on the back of a camel for six kilometers. A test designed for Fabrice and Briac, ready to do anything to win the trek. While one member of the pair must guide the mount, the second, astride the camel’s back, must hold a tray with a stemmed glass filled with water. Each time the glass falls, the duo must stop for three minutes.

Participants must first find a wineskin, hidden in the sand. And it is Clément and Émeline who start in first position, followed by Christophe and Claire, then Jean-Claude and Axel and finally Fabrice and Briac. In last place, the spiritual father and son struggle to catch up with their competitors. Jean-Claude, the dean of adventureis put to the test from the start while Axel drops their glass. Fabrice and Briac took the opportunity to overtake them and the pair managed to catch up and overtake the other two duos. Delighted, the spiritual father and son win the trek, like on season 12 where they met. Jean-Paul and Axel, far behind, are fighting against themselves, having already failed in this test in season 12. Despite Fabrice and Briac’s victory during the trek, they ultimately finish last in the race for first day. Clément and Emeline arrive first, followed by Christophe and Claire, then Jean-Claude and Axel.

A final duel between Clément and Briac which ends in tears for one of the pairs

The top three pairs then compete to gain an advantage for the next day’s race. With their arm in the air, the candidates must hold on for as long as possible, otherwise they will receive a bucket of water on their heads. After two hours of testing, only Claire and Émeline remain, who beat the previous record, amounting to 107 minutes. They last until three hours before Stéphane Rotenberg announces that their two teams will be able to benefit from the promised advantage: a joker for the Express Quiz the next day.

While Clément and Émeline leave first, they do not use their joker on the first question and have to get out of the car following their incorrect answer. Christophe and Claire overtake them and will stay in the lead throughout the duration of the race. The camp leaders quickly go back up while Jean-Claude and Axel and Briac and Fabrice drag themselves along. Finally, it is Briac and Fabrice who finish 4th and must choose a pair for the final duel. The spiritual father and son choose to immunize the grandfather and grandson. They must face Émeline and Clément. Briac, arriving after Clément at the scene of the first challenge, is unable to plant his knife in the targets. Clément, who finished the event, is struggling to advance due to a leg injury. After a frantic race, the campsite leader succeeds in winning first place and takes Émeline to the semi-final. For his part, Briac fails in his promise to bring Fabrice there, the man who was unknown to him five years ago.
