Jenson Button sees Max Verstappen continuing to shine even after

Jenson Button believes that young four-time world champion Max Verstappen will continue to accumulate success in motorsport even after leaving Formula 1.

Max Verstappen's future in F1 remains uncertain beyond 2028, when his contract with Red Bull comes to an end. However, Jenson Button, who also continued to drive after F1, is certain that the Batavian will continue to win in motorsport, whatever the discipline.

Max is a real competitor. I can't imagine him moving away from the circuits, even after F1”, said the former world champion.

There are two different types of F1 drivers”, Button told Sky Sports’ F1 podcast. “There are F1 drivers who are F1 drivers and that's all that matters to them, and when they retire they won't race anymore, they'll go sit on a beach somewhere or find another job that interests them.”

“But for Max and others like me, we love motor racing, not just Formula 1, so Max will not walk away from Formula 1 and will not walk away from winning.”

“He will move away from Formula 1 and go racing [ailleurs]. He's talked about doing some endurance races, maybe at or Daytona, or maybe it'll just be sim races, who knows, but he'll still be there to fight for wins.”

“This is not going to change. It's just the environment that will change. Formula 1 is the pinnacle, really, but there is a lot more pressure on your shoulders than in other categories and a lot more eyes on you.”

“Maybe this will be his last contract in F1, he will finish his contract with Red Bull and then leave, who knows? But he will still run for a very long time, but perhaps in another capacity”, concluded the 2009 World Champion.
