Heurtel is already leaving China, is returning to Europe in sight?

China is already over for Thomas Heurtel. After playing in Russia for the last two seasons, the 35-year-old French international leader took the red of the CBA and Shenzhen last summer. The adventure has already ended, as reported on the site Eurohoops.net . Heurtel played 10 matches there. 18.2 points, 8.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 2 steals on average. Still according to the same source, the former Barça and Real player would have a very good chance of returning to Europe. A return to the Old Continent would even be «imminent»according to the specialized site. Euroleague or Eurocup? France ? No precision. The person concerned would also have touches elsewhere, including in Russia, whose clubs are still excluded from European competitions due to the war in Ukraine.

To see if a return to Europe would favor the Thomas Heurtel case with the French Basketball Federation (FFBB). The European champion playmaker in 2013 has not been called up since Euro 2022 and his signing in Saint Petersburg. The new coach, Freddy Fauthoux, has not closed the door to a return for Heurtel, who has played 99 matches to date in the colors of the France team. The FFBB should, however, give its approval.
