It was his last day in the National Assembly, this Thursday, January 23, 2025, as a deputy for the 1st district of the Landes (he replaced Geneviève Darrieussecq appointed to the government). Fabien Lainé indicates that he has tabled “a transpartisan bill to end the use of private companies to carry out road checks,” he said on his Facebook page.
“An issue of trust and transparency”
The one who will find the mayor's scarf in Sanguinet specifies in particular that he wishes the end of these radar cars which measure the speed of motorists and whose service, in France, was entrusted to private companies from 2018.
Fabien Lainé wants these controls to remain under the direction of the State and the police: “This is an issue of trust and transparency for all. It is important that these essential road safety missions are sanctuarized in the public domain and that they serve above all the general interest ”.
More than 30 deputies from the majority groups as well as the opposition co -signed this bill ensures the ex -deputy. Now it remains that it continues the usual journey in the National Assembly.
