Starting third, the Dutchman hit the team Williams BMWleader of the championship. Having left despite the damage, the Dutch driver received a penalty, namely a drive-through. Finally 12th at the finish of the race with his teammate Gustavo Ariel who had taken over, Max Verstappen admitted his mistake.
