: this is the question that the inter-union FSU44, CGT Éduc'action 44 and Sud Éducation 44 are asking about educational assistants (AED) and those accompanying students with disabilities (AESH). A demonstration is thus organized on Thursday January 16 at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Nantes Prefecture.
The workloads of AEDs and AESHs are increasing, while having the lowest salaries in National Education
. The AEDs say they are not enough to carry out their missions with students. Same observation from the AESH with an increase in the number of students supported, according to feedback from the unions.
“Request a significant increase in remuneration”
Faced with this observation, the trade union organizations are organizing a day of mobilization and strike on January 16 to demand the creation of a body of category B civil servant in the State civil service to recognize the profession of AESH and AED, request a significant increase in remuneration over the entire career and recruitment commensurate with needs.”
