For the second week of its twelfth season, the M6 show ''The best bakery in France'' is back in Burgundy-Franche-Comté. In this show, the jury – made up of Bruno Cormerais, Noëmie Honiat and Michel Sarran – sets out to discover the best bakeries in France and highlights the artisans.
Only one bakery selected in Côte-d'Or
While two Côte-d'Orienne bakeries were in the running last year, only one was selected this year: the Fournil de Flavigny, located in Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, in the upper Côte-d'Or.
A very good surprise for manager Katherine Frelon. “I was really surprised and I even wondered why they were contacting me,” she admitted recently in our pages. It must be said that the Flavignienne has only been doing this job for two years, after having been a caterer.
A stressful shoot
Without revealing too much about the show, she still admitted that the filming – which took place in July 2024 – was stressful, since she found herself alone, her apprentice being injured.
During the show, she will face the team formed by Olivier and Allan, from L'atelier d'Olivier, a bakery based in Chaussin, in the Jura.
She wants to write a book about bread
Her appearance on the show motivated this baker of British origin, who offers eighteen different breads in her establishment, to begin writing a book dedicated to her new profession.
It remains to be seen whether she has managed to establish herself in this new season of the M6 show. To find out, tune in this Tuesday at 6:35 p.m.
