Aston Martin has formalized the reappointment of Felipe Drugovich as test and reserve driver for the 2025 Formula 1 season.

The Brazilian, Formula 2 champion in 2022, has held this role within the team for two years. He will share these responsibilities with Stoffel Vandoorne, also test and reserve driver at Aston Martin. The Belgian driver also continues his career in Formula E, where he races full-time for the DS Penske team.

This experienced duo will continue to play a key role in the development of the single-seater and in support of the British team's regular drivers: Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll.

I am obviously very happy to stay with Aston Martin Aramco for a third full season as test and reserve driver”, said the Brazilian.

The 24-year-old pilot continued his statement: “There's a lot of dynamism on this team, and I can't wait to see what we can accomplish together.”

AMRTC's incredible new facilities, including the all-new simulator, are a testament to the team's ambition, and I am committed to being part of Aston Martin Aramco's long-term success. As always, I would like to thank the team for their continued support.

Former team principal Mike Krack, who is now team principal at Silverstone, added: “Felipe has been a vital member of our team since his arrival, and we are very excited to continue working with him until 2025 – he is a real asset.”

“His contributions behind the scenes, especially in the simulator and during testing sessions, have been invaluable, and he never puts a foot wrong when he's behind the wheel.”

“Felipe’s dedication and feedback have played a crucial role in our progress, and we are confident that he will continue to have a significant impact on our team.”
