The 2025 Formula 1 season is already launched, and Ferrari, with his pilot duo Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, is preparing for an exciting year. After a first outing for Hamilton in Fiorano, the work on the SF-23 continues actively so that the Scuderia arrives in shape during the first tests of the season. Here are the dates to mark on your calendar before the first Australian Grand Prix.
1. Tests in Barcelona – end of January
January began on an emotional note for Ferrari. In Fiorano, the two pilots took the wheel of the SF-23 for a first preparation session. Lewis Hamilton, who made his debut behind the wheel of the Ferrari, described this moment as “one of the most beautiful in my life”, even if he quickly added that there was a lot of work to do for S ' Adapt to the Scuderia. For his part, Charles Leclerc, more comfortable with Ferrari's systems, continued his training program.
Barcelona tests will start from January 27. The two pilots, Leclerc and Hamilton, will take turns on the track to maximize the 1000 km authorized by the regulations. These tests will be crucial to prepare the necessary adjustments before the more advanced tests in Bahrain, with the new F1 SF-25.
2. Pirelli tests – February 4 and 5
According to the Autoracer media, before focusing on the 2025 car, Ferrari will take part in an important session of Pirelli tests on February 4 and 5, on the Montmelo circuit. These trials will test the 2026 generation tires. Hamilton will have the opportunity to drive the SF-24 for the first time, a car specially adapted for these tests, with experimental tires which will have a narrower diameter in terms of axles front and rear.
3. Presentation of the “almost” Ferrari SF-25-February 18
After the tests in Spain, the Scuderia Ferrari will head on London for the large presentation of the 2025 car on February 18. On this occasion, Fans will be able to discover the SF-25 livery, but on an SF-24. This presentation will mark a moment, although the real complete car will only be officially revealed the next day, on February 19, during an online presentation.
-4. Shakedown and tests in Fiorano – February 19
As it is now tradition, Ferrari will make a SF-25 SF-25 Shakedown in Fiorano on February 19. This day will mark the opportunity for Leclerc and Hamilton to take charge of the new SF-25 car, before the big tests that will take place in Bahrain. It will also be an important time to adjust the last details before the big competition.
5. Official tests in Bahrain – 26 to 28 Febrier
The first official trials of the season will take place in Bahrain, from February 26 to 28. Ferrari will put all his energy to maximize the potential of the SF-25, before the big start of the season in Australia. These three days will be decisive to adjust the car performance and refine the last details, with the aim of preparing for the first Grand Prix of the season in Melbourne on March 16.
6. Start of the season in Melbourne – March 16
